Q:
Why are your prices so much better than retail?
A:
We only deal with select suppliers who are cutters, polishers and wholesalers. They give us their best prices which we pass on to you. Our overheads are minimal - no shops, no stock, no staff - so we can take a smaller margin than retailers.

Q:
Are there any customs duties to pay?
A:
No. We take care of customs import and any duty payable. The price we give you is the price you pay, and there are no hidden costs.

Q:

Do I have to pay GST?
A:
Yes, by law you must pay GST (currently 15%) if you take possession of your diamond in New Zealand, even if you plan to export it. We will give you a GST tax invoice. Alternatively, we can arrange shipment to an overseas address if you wish (at your cost), in which case GST will not be payable. However you will need to deal with customs clearance in the destination country and you may be liable for import duty and local taxes. You may also need to arrange insurance for your shipment as we will not take responsibility once we have given the shipment to the overseas courier.

Q:
How about shipping and insurance costs?
A:
When you buy a diamond from our New Zealand stock, we can arrange domestic delivery at very reasonable rates either via a general courier or, for more valuable stones, via a
specialist courier. You will need to arrange insurance if required, as we will not take responsibility once the diamond has been given to the courier for delivery.

Q:
How do I pay you ?
A:
We accept cash, certified bank cheques, or direct bank deposits or transfers. We are not able to accept eftPOS, credit or charge cards at this time. We do not generally accept personal cheques, unless sufficient time is allowed for them to clear prior to ordering from our supplier or delivering your diamond to you. We do not accept letters of credit or any other instruments of payment.
